New Year, New Skin

We always hear about how important it is to keep your heart, lungs, and other organs healthy. BUT, your skin is your largest organ, and it’s one that we so often overlook! In this post, I want to talk about my absolute favorite skin care tips & tricks so you can kick off 2019 with glowing, healthy skin!

 

bioClarity skin regimens

I started using bioClarity several months ago, and I have to say that I absolutely LOVE their skincare routines. Limiting/Eliminating Dairy

This step has been HUGE for me in skincare. I actually began limiting my intake of dairy in order to combat it in triggering headaches for me. However, since doing so, I have seen a major difference in my skin! Now, I am a huge cheese person and I haven’t been able to give it up. But I do limit my dairy intake when it comes to milk and creamer- only using Almond Milk based or lactose-free ingredients.

NATIVE Cosmetics Soaps

I was sent the Cucumber & Mint bar soap and the Eucalyptus & Mint body wash a while back and let me tell you- they are THE BEST. The body wash is hands down my favorite, and it smells absolutely incredible. I love that I know I am caring for my skin with all natural ingredients when I use it! I know that I will absolutely be repurchasing this guy when I’m done with it.

HYDRATE!

Y’all, I can’t stress this one enough. Caring for your skin absolutely begins with what you’re putting into your body. Just like limiting the foods that cause you to break out, maximizing your water intake is crucial to healthy skin. My favorite way to stay hydrated is my Hydroflask. I have found that having this water bottle, or one like it, that has a straw makes it SO stinking easy to keep drinking water throughout the day. My other favorite thing is lemon water! Not only is it soooooo good for you, but it makes your body feel so good too.

 

Exfoliating your skin

You lose thousands of skin cells every single day, but just letting them sit on your skin isn’t good for it- especially on your face! That’s what can make face makeup look caked on a lot of the time! The Grown Alchemist Polishing Facial Exfoliant has been my recent favorite for exfoliating. It makes your face feel so fresh and clean!! For the body, it’s as simple as mixing together some ground coffee and coconut oil and rubbing it all over in the shower. These two ingredients are super cheap and great for your skin too!
